The Institute of Economics and Management was created in October 2005. It is constituted by five Departments realising the basic objectives in the scope of this field of study. The teaching staff of these Departments represents different disciplines of knowledge; such as the knowledge of economics, humanities, law and agriculture. These disciplines concentrate on the problems aimed at understanding the external and internal determinants of performance of the competitive market conditions.
The graduates obtain a Bachelor's degree. They acquire the knowledge and skills in the scope of theoretical sciences concerning management as well as complementary disciplines dealing with the nature, regularities and problems in the functioning of organisations - enterprises and public institutions. They are also able to recognise, diagnose and solve problems concerning human resources management, finance and information management. They are prepared to realise the basic functions of project management in economic and administrative organisations. What is more, they obtain the command of a foreign language at B2 level. Our graduates are well-prepared to work as organisation management specialists, mid-level managers in enterprises and also to run their own business. In addition, they acquire teamwork, communication and negotiation skills.
